Emu Oil- One of Nature's Wonders

Emu Oil products have been found to assist in the healing of stretch marks. This is because Emu Oil contains high concentrations of Omega 3 and Omega 6 acids. The skin needs unsaturated fatty acids that the body cannot produce and palmitic acid in emu oil stimulates new skin cell growth. Emu oil carries all of these building blocks through the skin directly to the dermis where they are absorbed quickly and aid the repair of scar tissue and stretch marks. Emu Oil is highly concentrated, a has large amounts of Vitamin E, and without that, these essential nutrients cannot be used by the skin. Instead of using expensive prescriptions or high priced pills, heal your skin the natural way, with emu oil.

Cocoa Butter- Say Bye-Bye To Obvious Stretch Marks

Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao) is a pale yellow fat obtained from dried and naturally fermented cocoa beans. The beans grow on a small, spreading, evergreen tree which grows up to 8 m (26 feet) tall. Originally from the South and Central American rain forests, it is now cultivated principally in Ghana, Nigeria, and Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast).

Fifty to sixty percent of the cocoa bean consists of cocoa butter, which is used as a base for chocolate manufacture. The residue, after extraction of the butter, is used to make cocoa powder. In cosmetics, it is used as an ointment base, emollient, skin softener and protectant. It is moisturizing; it lays down a protective layer that holds moisture to the skin making it a good skin softener. It has a slight scent of chocolate. Cocoa butter also is a natural source of vitamin E.

That’s moisturization and vitamin E in one naturally occurring product. No wonder some people swear by it as a minimizer of scars and stretch marks. Cocoa butter can be found in your local store. I can be found in lotion form or stick form. The natural solid form delivers more pure product than the lotion form because lotion is a mixture of ingredients.

No product has been proven to totally repair the skin, but they have been proven to decrease the appearance of the stretch marks and over time the stretch marks are so minimized they appear to be nonexistent.

Vitamin E- A Stretch Mark Minimizer

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and essential ingredient for skin regeneration. It can be obtained from lots of plants and nuts like almonds.

Vitamin E comes in different forms, such as alpha, beta, delta, and gamma tocopherol. The variety with the best results for topical use on the skin surface is alpha-tocopherol. It has shown a great variety of skin benefits in clinical studies, such as reduction in scarring and the reduction of stretch marks. The effect of vitamin E on stretch marks is thanks to its regenerative effect on skin. Vitamin E goes deep into the skin to stimulate the growth of new cells, replacing the scar tissue found under stretch marks and this
makes the stretch marks become thinner, shorter and fade over time with treatments.

The greatest benefit of trying Vitamin E is that it is reasonably priced and readily available at most drugstores like Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Eckerd, or Walmart. Using Vitamin E oil on stretch marks can save you money while giving you all the benefits of the higher priced stretch mark solution products where vitamin E is the main ingredient.

What Are Stretch Marks?

Stretch marks are defined as fine lines on the body that occur from tissue under your skin tearing from quick growth or stretching beyond its elasticity. It is a common condition and does not cause any significant medical problems but can be of cosmetic issue for some people.

Stretch marks occur in certain areas of the body where skin is subjected to constant and progressive stretching. These include:
  • Abdomen and breast in pregnant women
  • Adolescents undergoing growth spurts (thighs, buttocks, breasts)
  • Shoulders in body-builders
  • Obese or overweight people
Stretch marks are a result of damage to the tissue layer of your skin. To date, there have been no "cures" for stretch marks but ways to minimize stretch marks can be found in natural products like cocoa butter and vitamin E oil, and products sold through retail distributors by many different names.
